    • The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE)
      An registered charity offering information about state education in England and Wales for parents of school age children, including free telephone advice on many subjects like exclusion, bullying, special educational needs and school admission appeals.
    • Box of Ideas
      Website developed by the Dyscovery Centre providing ideas, guidance and information on everything from early years to further education
    • Bullying UK
      Website-centred charity providing information and advice to children affected by bullying and their parents. Site includes sample letters to send to the school.
    • Contact a Family Factsheet: Special Educational Needs – England
      This factsheet is a brief guide to the procedures for identifying, assessing and making provision for children's special educational needs.
    • Equality and Human Rights Commission
      Site gives information and advice on your rights with regards to education under the Disability Discrimination Act.
    • Good Schools Guide
      A comprehensive listing of all the public information available on all UK schools. Also has searchable database of SEN provisions for condition such as TS.
    • Great Ormond Street Hospital
      GOSH's Tourette Syndrome clinic have produced a fact sheet containing advice on education matte
    • Home Education in the UK
      The web site of the HE-Special-UK mailing list: a group of families who Home Educate children with Special Educational Needs.
    • Independent Parental Special Education Advice (IPSEA)
      Free independent advice; free advice on appealing to the Special Educational Needs Tribunal, including representation when needed; and free second professional opinions. Website also includes model letters to send to schools and LEAs.
    • Kidscape
      Offers a Helpline offering support and advice to parents of bullied children; booklets, literature, posters, training guides, educational videos; national comprehensive training Programme; advice and research; confidence building sessions.
    • Parent +
      Website set up by a team of health and educational professionals from The Dyscovery Centre based at University of Wales, Newport, in order to support parents and their children with a range of additional learning needs.
    • Rathbone 
      Rathbone provides a range of services nationwide, including: education and training programmes, special programmes for young people under 16 who’ve been excluded from school, or are in danger of being excluded and a network of independent living centres.
    • Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST)
      Website offers information on parents' appeals against the decisions of Local Education Authorities (LEAs) about children's special educational needs. Site includes a guide to the Tribunal process including a timetable of events.
    • Teachernet
      Site contains guidance on the Disabilty Discrimination Act in schools and Special Educational Needs (SEN) policies and statements. You can also order a wide range of publications through this site, many of which are free of charge.
    • Toolkits for Success
      Website developed by the University of Manchester providing information on off-campus learning for students with disabilities. Includes advice on work experience for students, employers, academics and placement officers.
    • Voice of Independent Parents in Special Educational Needs
      Intended as a one stop reference source for information, or linking to information, on any aspect of special need, with particular regard to education.
