    • ADR Now - exploring alternatives to court
      This site is run by the Advice Services Alliance (ASA). ADR stands for alternative dispute resolution - options for resolving disputes without going to court. The aim of the website is to provide independent information about a wide range of ADR options.
    • Advice Now
      Advicenow provides readable accurate information on rights and the law in England and Wales. It includes a managed web search of over 200 rights and legal websites, plus features, articles, quizzes and cartoons.
    • Benefits Now
      Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance Self-Assessment and Information Service.
    • Childline
      The free helpline for children and young people in the UK.
    • The Children's Legal Centre
      A unique, independent national charity concerned with law and policy affecting children and young people. Provides legal advice and representation to children, their carers and professionals throughout the UK.
    • Citizens Advice Bureau
      The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
    • Community Legal Advice
      Set up to help people find the right legal information and advice to solve problems. Free legal help is offered to those who cannot afford it and whose case merits it.
    • Contact a Family
      Provides a factsheet giving an overview of all the main benefits and tax credits available, focusing on those aspects which most affect families with disabled children.
    • Direct Gov
      For public service information including information on Disability Living Allowance (DLA)and Disabled Students Allowances.
    • Disability Law Service
      A national registered charity run by and for disabled people, providing information and advice to disabled people. DLS has an advice line and can provide a casework service and support at any level of the legal system.
    • Disability Living Allowance and Disability Working Allowance Act 1991
    • Equality and Human Rights Commission
      Formally the Disability Rights Commission. Gives advice and information to disabled people, employers and service providers.
    • Housing Ombudsman Service
      An independant service dealing with complaints against landlords and agents, and other housing disputes.
    • I count
      Site contains information on local services for disabled people and their carers in the boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Lambeth and Sutton. You can also register online for an I-Count card.
    • Job Centre Plus
      Help and advice on job hunting and extra support. Help and advice on making a claim for benefit.
    • Liberty
      One of the UK's leading human rights and civil liberties organizations, providing expert guidance to lawyers, NGO's and the public.
    • National Youth Advocacy Service
      NYAS offer information, advice, advocacy and legal representation to children and young people up to the age of 25, through a network of advocates throughout England and Wales.
    • Neurosupport
      Liverpool-based centre offering information and support to people affected by neurological disorders.
    • Parent Know How Directory
      Online directory offering the ability to search for information about childcare and family services locally nationally.
    • Parent Pages
      Parent Pages is a UK directory for families with babies and children; childcare, tutors, days out, parties, activities, schools, nurseries, clubs, shopping - local and national listings.
    • RNID Typetalk
      Deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind and speech impaired people can make telephone calls by using RNID Typetalk and a textphone or computer.
    • RADAR
      RADAR is a disability campaigning organisation and produce a number of booklets on disability rights in various settings, such as employment and travel.
    • Rathbone
      Rathbone is dedicated to working with young people who very often have not been successful in their secondary education. Many such young people require access to education and training opportunities that are tailored specifically to their needs.
    • Shaw Trust
      Shaw Trust is a national charity that provides training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the workplace due to disability, ill health or other social circumstances.
    • SKILL
      National Bureau for Students With Disabilities. Skill is a national charity promoting opportunities for young people and adults with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK.
    • Thenervecentre
      Organisation in Kirklees offering information, advice and activities for people affecting by neurological conditions
    • The Thomas Centre
      An 'Autism Friendly Holiday Specialist' in Lincolnshire. 'Five Star' facilities for families, groups and carers. Specialise in providing 'a relaxed holiday environment for those with conditions including Autism, ADHD and Tourette's.'
    • Toolkits for Success
      Website developed by the University of Manchester providing information on off-campus learning for students with disabilities. Includes advice on work experience for students, employers, academics and placement officers.
    • Turn 2 Us
      This website offers a free search facility for people looking for grants or benefits.
    • Victim Support
      Local Victim Support branches can give information and support to victims of crime and support and their families and friends. There is also a national helpline, the Victim Supportline.
