Official launch of Tourettes Action's research project
Education representatives, families, clinicians and the Peterborough MP all gathered in Nottingham on the 10 September for the launch of Tourettes Action and The University of Nottingham’s research project ‘Improving understanding of the psychosocial experiences of adolescents with Tourette Syndrome’. It turned out to be a very successful day, starting with a project presentation from the lead researcher Professor Georgina Jackson and finishing with group discussions about which issues may affect students with TS in secondary school. All the input from the groups was later collected and handed over to the researchers, who will use this information to plan their research better.
Right now we are looking for participants with TS in mainstream education between the ages of 10-20 who lives in the East Midlands area. If you are interested in participating or to find out more, please email your postal address to Research Manager Dr Andrew Clempson.
