Stakeholder Event to launch TA funded research project
On the 10 September 2010, the University of Nottingham will host a Stakeholder event to launch the start of the three year long research project 'Improving the psychosocial experiences of adolescents with Tourette Syndrome (TS) in secondary school'. The project is funded by Tourettes Action, after we secured a grant from the BIG Lottery Fund in 2009. The grant application was written together with Professor Georgina Jackson from the University of Nottingham.
The research team in Nottingham and Tourettes Action will invite stakeholders like young people with TS and their parents, education representatives, clinicians and other people who support children with Tourettes. The aim of the day is to discuss the project with the stakeholders and thereby get a better understanding of issues affecting young people with TS in secondary schools. The information obtained at the meeting will help the researchers plan their project in the best possible way.
If you live in or close to Nottingham and would like to attend this meeting, please contact Research Manager Linnea Larsson at linnea@tourettes-action.org.uk. Please be aware that places are very limited and we can't guarantee that everyone who contacts us gets a place.
