Fundraiser of the month
Tourettes Action recieve no statutory funding, relying fully on the goodwill and passion of our supporters to help us continue delivering our services. Fundraising not only benefits Tourettes Action, it also has a huge impact on your local community, helping to spread education, understanding and support. We thank all of our fundraisers for everything they do to help us and the entire TS community. This page is to celebrate you for your kindness and compassion.
"We feel the whole community has benefited from our fundraising events, they now know more about the condition and we feel really pleased that we've had a chance to help other people"
The Garvey family, Northern Ireland.
This month we'd like to say a special thank you to the Myres family for their collective efforts to fundraise and support Tourettes Action.
In support of daughter Grace who has TS, and the wider TS community, mum Emma joined our fleet of skydivers in July, falling thousands of feet through the air to raise money and awareness
Friends of the family kindly asked all of their guests at their Ruby wedding anniversary to donate money to TA instead of gifts. One family member has kindly set up a regular donation, and Grace's dad has got all of his police colleagues involved with donations too.
If this wasn't enough, one of Grace's grandparents wrote an article about Tourette Syndrome for a local Jewish magazine, which has been picked up by the national Jewish newspaper - The Jewish Chronicle - and will be printed this month.
A constellation of compassion! Thank you to all of the Myres and the friends who have supported them.
We want to hear about your inspriring story - perhaps you're planning a fundraising event or do things to raise awareness about Tourette Syndrome in your local community. Please contact us with your story
