What time: 9:30 - 17:00 (Registration between 9:30 - 10:00)

The first meeting of Tourettes Action Research Network (TARN) is open to all health professionals who are engaged in research related to TS; including clinical consultants, psychologists, and those professionals who attended the Tourettes Action’s Research Symposium last year. The meeting has been awarded 5 CPD credits and will be held at the Wellcome Conference Centre in London on the 9th of July 2009. The Tourettes Action Research Network is the direct outcome of Tourette’s Action’s Research Symposium which was held in Oxford in April 2008 and will be a professional body that aims to support the development of research into Tourette’s Syndrome (TS) and to facilitate multi-disciplinary TS research collaborations within the UK.

The aim of the meeting is to establish a new national network for those with a clinical and research interest in TS. Discussions will include the function and development of the network, possible research collaborations, a potential clinical network database, and how to expand the knowledge of TS therapies in the UK. We hope that discussions will assist in the development of the network and will provide guidance on resources needed to support further research developments into TS. A final agenda for the meeting will follow.

The event is listed on Royal College of Physicians website

Places are limited, so please reserve your registration early by emailing Research Officer Linnea Larsson on linnea@tourettes-action.org.uk. Please note that the meeting is free of charge; however any travel costs must be covered by participants themselves.
