How does anxiety and low mood affect children and young people with Tourette syndrome

Volunteers aged 8-19 and their parents needed for a research study: How does anxiety and low mood affect children and young people with Tourette syndrome or Chronic Tic Disorders?

We would like to investigate how anxiety and low mood affects children and young people with Tourette syndrome or Chronic Tic Disorders (TS/CTDs). Anxiety and low mood are common in children and young people with TS/CTDs and can significantly impact on their lives. This research will help us to further understand anxiety and low mood in children and young people with TS/CTDs and develop a new psychological treatment to reduce the impact of anxiety and low mood.

We are looking for children and young people aged 8-19 and their parents to take part in the research. The research involves completing some questionnaires and some tasks on a computer. It includes meeting with the researcher individually for about an hour as well as completing some questionnaires at a time that suits you. Families will be reimbursed £15 in Amazon vouchers for their time and we can reimburse some travel costs.
I hope you will be interested in hearing more about our study, and perhaps in participating. If you would like to take part or for more details, it would be great to hear from you! Please email Dr Victoria Pile or contact her on 0207 848 0389
Thank you for considering taking part in this research.
