Stigma Research

A research team at the University of Kent is carrying out a new and exciting study about the stigma of Tourette Syndrome (TS).

If you are aged 8 years or over and have TS we would like to hear from you! We want to hear from you whether you have experienced stigma and bullying, or not.

The study involves filling in a survey online, which will ask you how people behave towards you and how this affects your life. There are 3 different surveys depending on your age group – if you are under 18 years old, your parent/guardian will need to sign to say they are happy for you to take part.

Watch a short video about the project from research participants

If you are a parent please do the following:
1. Email Melina M.A.Malli@kent.ac.uk
2. She will send you an information sheet and consent form
3. If you decide to take part and return the consent form, Melina
will send you a link to the online survey.

If you are over 18 years old, please follow this link

If you take part in the survey there will also be an opportunity to take part in an interview. The interview can take place over the telephone, or through Skype. A £10 voucher will be given to everyone who takes part in an interview as a way of saying thank you. *Please note that the number of spaces available to take part in the interviews are limited*

This project is funded by Tourettes Action.
Recruitment closes December 2019
