Get creative!

Even in a time of crisis, we still need to raise money to support those living with TS. So what can you do when virtual fundraising is about the only option left?

Need some inspiration? Here are some fun ideas to get you started:

Virtual coffee morning - Gather some friends for a coffee and cake meeting online, and each donate a few pounds to charity

Grow your hair out - Donate what you would've spent on haircuts to Tourettes Action. Could also do a highest donor gets to pick your next style after all this is over?

Can't go to the pub tonight? - Having a quiet beer at home and watching Netflix? Saving loads of cash because it's cheaper? Donate a part of that to us to keep us running

Donate your Commute - if you're currently working from home why not consider donating the price of one day's bus/train/tube to Tourettes Action

Online Auction - What better time for a clear out than now! Find items that you would like to donate and put them up for auction on a site like eBay and see what you can raise for Tourettes Action

Charity cooking class - For those budding chef’s out there, why not get your less-confident-in-the-kitchen friends to join you online for a cooking demo for a small donation to TA

Birthday donations - Many people will be celebrating a birthday during lock down. If you can’t go out to celebrate, or your family or friends can’t come over to join you on your day, why not invite them to make a donation in your name to Tourettes Action

Home challenges - If you’re at home with children, set them a challenge and sponsor them for it. It could be cooking, cleaning, or making something creative. It could be built up in coins, or with a calendar where you tick off each day that they complete their challenge.

Grow a Beard for Charity - The challenge is simple! You start growing a beard now and you don't shave it off until the lock down ends and we can have a big bearded celebration.

Coin hunt - We hear how much money is stuck down the back of sofas, so why not see what you can find in your furniture? This might be the one bit of spare time you ever get to focus on such an exercise.

Walking, running and more in your garden – We’ve all seen how effective this has been for Captain Tom! Why not come up with your own challenge and get friends and family to sponsor you

Virtual family quiz - gather friends and family for a fun general knowledge quiz over Zoom and charge a small fee to take part

Amazon Smile - Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisation of your choice. Sign up here for FREE

Facebook Birthday Fundraising - FREE for you to set up on your Facebook account and raised over £8000 for TA last year!
