In memory of Tourettes Action's CEO who passed away this year

We hope to launch the TA Annual Youth Creativity Awards in memory of Suzanne Dobson, who passed away in July 2021 and was our CEO for more than a decade and who gave such service to both the charity and the wider TS community.

We believe the Awards will not only be a wonderful recognition of Suzanne and in particular her passionate belief in young people with TS and their ability to overcome any setbacks their TS might present, but will build over time into a wonderful showcase of the diverse creative and artistic talents of those who take part.

We are hoping to raise a fund with a target of £5000 to enable us to operate the award and make it sustainable over many years.

  • Musical Arts - instrumental performance, singing, composition

  • Performance Arts - poetry, stand-up, monologue

A short-list of works in each category will be will be displayed in a special Youth Creativity Awards area of the TA website.

The final winners in each category will be determined by voting by any person on the TA website, and the overall Youth Creativity Award winner in each age group will be also decided as part of the same voting process.

Each category winner would receive a prize of and the overall winner in each age group would win a prize, a framed certificate, and a permanent place for their work in the Suzanne Dobson Youth Creativity Hall of Fame on the website, which would then build out with each successive year into a marvellous creative showcase.

Thank you for your generous support
