Samuel shares his experience at his first TEENfest event with us. "Overall, I had the time of my life on this trip, and I’d really like to do it again".

Day 1:

On the day we arrived there wasn’t much going on, which was good because I had time to set up my room and settle in. Later that day we did Tie Dying, which was also very fun and I got quite a comedic T-Shirt out of it, since I was unaware that Tie Dye didn’t go over black parts of the T-Shirt, so I now have a Tie Dye T-Shirt with my Dad’s old company name on it!

Supper was nice - it was hot dogs or jacket potatoes and they were delicious. Pudding was also great too, being ice cream.

Day 2:

Day 2 was much more activity filled! Breakfast was nice and we got out pretty quickly.

The first thing we did was crate stacking, where 2 people would stand on one crate on one side, and another person would put down 2 crates on the other side, so that the two on the crate could step up to the next level. Me and my teammate did very well on this! However, the higher you get, the more it begins to topple, and eventually it will fall. You’re harnessed in of course, so you aren’t just gonna fall to the floor from that height, and it’s hilarious when one person falls before the other and they kick down the stack in midair! Betrayed by your own teammate!

The next activity was team building, which I found slightly less fun but still very enjoyable. There were many team building activities but the one I remember the most was this wooden mini-log puzzle, in which you had to fit all of the mini-logs into the canvas, which proved a very hard yet still possible task, as me and the same teammate completed it!

The next big activity was the 3G swing, and boy was that amazing! You’re harnessed in again, and you sit in your harness holding onto a thick metal cylinder. A machine pulls you slowly up and there’s a rope behind you, which if you pull, you’ll swing, and it’s an absolute blast, you go so fast and so high, one of the most fun experiences of my life!

The other activity we did on day 2 was abseiling, however there’s not much more to say about it than that.

Day 3:

Day 3 was the final day, so it was shortened since we had to be picked up, however it was still absolutely amazing. First, we did the zipwire, which was super fun. There were 2 zipwires, one bigger and one smaller, both of which I tried and enjoyed, since they were super fast and both absolutely massive. The other thing we did on day 3 was swimming, which I heavily enjoyed. I was one of the first people in there and one of the last to leave, and the inflatables in the pool were really fun to mess around with.

Overall, I had the time of my life on this trip, and I’d really like to do it again!
