Olivers words...

My name is Oliver and I'm 12 years old. I was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome 2 years ago

I have some difficult motor and vocal tics that I find hard to cope with and found that going to the gym helped me a little bit. I started doing 1:1 classes with my trainer Sean (he's really fun and doesn't judge me). I then noticed that when I'm doing these sessions with Sean that my tics weren't as bad. I have found that boxing has really helped me manage my tics. Sometimes they can be worse when I get home or sometimes they are easier to cope with but for 30 minutes 4x a week I get relief from the pain and frustration my tics cause me.

Sean Green (Oliver's Boxing Coach)

I’ve been training Oliver for around 8 months now and he has been doing absolutely amazing, he’s not only improved his boxing skills but he’s grown so much as a person which is just as important. I’ve also seen massive improvement with his tics due to how much he concentrates during the sessions which is fantastic, he’s always got a smile on his face, always having a laugh and definitely puts a smile on my face and everyone else’s in the gym. He’s such a pleasure to coach and is such a hard-working lad.
