It's back! Our TS Awareness Month fundraising campaign!

To celebrate TS Awareness Month from 15 May – 15 June, we invite you to support our campaign

What is it?

You set your own goal and choose where, when and how to complete your challenge anytime during the period 15 May – 15 June 2023.

The only limit to your challenge is your imagination!

To give you some inspiration, see what our supporters have been up to in previous years:

  • 100 sit ups every day for 30 days
  • Climbing 1000 steps every day for a week
  • 30 minutes on the trampoline every day
  • 5k family dog walk
  • TikTok dance every day for 30 days
  • 10 mile bike ride
  • 26 mile relay run
  • Walk 10,000 steps every day

Who can take part?

Everyone! Encourage family and friends to take part or simply go solo. Why not create your own team and come up with a fun challenge, or ask your school, scouts/brownies or football team to get involved.

Everyone who signs up will receive a TA medal and certificate, PLUS a SPECIAL EDITION TS wristband

Why not raise more money?

Ask your friends and family to sponsor your special challenge. Create an online fundraising page through Just Giving and raise even more money for Tourettes Action. It’s simple to use and is a safe, secure way for your supporters to donate.

The Rules:

  • Registration is £10 per adult and £5 per child (up to age 15)
  • When you have finished, email us to say how you completed your challenge (eg.Strava, Fitbit, photograph)
  • Post a photo of your challenge to social media using the hashtag #MoveForTourettes and we'll also upload your photo to our Move for Tourettes Flickr gallery
  • We will send your medal, certificate and wristband at the end of awareness month

**Special Deal for Schools and groups**

If your school or club would like to get involved during TS Awareness Month, we have a special offer for group bookings.

Ask your school to hold a TS Awareness Day, and for just £1 per child, your school will receive a fundraising pack including balloons and leaflets, plus a TS wristband for every child who signs up and a certficate for the school. This is a great opportunity to support children with TS in your school and for their peers to learn more about the condition. The same applies to groups including clubs such as brownies, scouts, football teams etc.

Hold an awareness lesson on Tourette Syndrome within school

We have ready made lesson plans to make the teacher's job that little bit easier. The lesson plans contain presentations, videos and worksheets, relevant to all ages. You can download the KS1 lesson plan here, the KS2 lesson plan here and the KS3/4 lesson plan here.

Please contact Jenna for details about group bookings.
