Are you interested in becoming a Trustee of Tourettes Action?

Due to several trustees reaching the end of their permitted terms of office, we are currently seeking to appoint up to two new trustees to join the Tourettes Action Board.

As volunteer members of the Board, Trustees play a vital role in overseeing the charity’s work and helping to shape its strategic direction. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who share our passion for supporting people with Tourette syndrome and are motivated to make a meaningful difference. Working alongside our existing Trustees, you will help guide and strengthen the future of the charity.

Vacancies

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. In particular, we would encourage applications from:

• Individuals with Tourette syndrome; and/or
• Individuals with skills, knowledge, or experience in:
• Education
• Safeguarding
• Healthcare
• Political campaigning and influencing
• Disability advocacy and campaigning

Treasurer-Elect Vacancy

We are also recruiting for a Treasurer-Elect. This position has become available as our current Treasurer approaches the end of their permitted term of office.

The Treasurer-Elect will initially work alongside the current Treasurer before assuming responsibility for the role, providing an excellent opportunity for a smooth handover and induction.

Application Deadline

Interested candidates are asked to complete the application form and submit a CV and/or letter of application by Monday 12 October 2026, identifying relevant professional experience and stating why you think you have the skills and experience to be a trustee, as well as highlighting things you have done that may help the cause of Tourettes awareness and support.

Next Steps

We aim for shortlisting and interviews to take place in the second half of October or early November.

Interviews will be held on Teams/Zoom with a panel of trustees and scheduled on a weekend morning or weekday evening.
