Meet the team!

The time has arrived for our amazing team of runners to put their hard training runs into action and take to the streets of London for the iconic Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 3 April 2022.

Our successful charity place athletes are gearing up to tackle 13.1 miles, raise lots of money for TA and fulfil a truly amazing personal achievement.

So let's find out who they are!

Katy Coles-White

I am running the LLHM for TA because the charity has helped our family so much. My youngest son who is 9 has been diagnosed with TS since he was 6. We get no care or treatment for his condition from the NHS. TA has enabled us to do courses to learn more about how to help him; his teachers have been able to get advice; we have taken part in research; joined in with online support groups and activities and been very lucky to have attended TICFest in 2021. We are so excited about going to TICFest 2022. I want to give something back to an amazing charity; I don’t know what we would do without them!

Kay Gregory

My daughter Kayleigh was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome in May 2021. Tourettes Action helped us so much in understanding the condition. This is my way of saying THANK YOU and raising awareness for Tourettes.

Robert Hitch

Our son Tyler was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome in the summer of 2021. This didn't come as a surprise to us having watched Tyler over the years and seeing his tics develop.

As a novice to running, I am doing this half marathon to not only show Tyler that nothing should ever hold him back but to also raise awareness for Tourette Syndrome as there is still a huge lack of understanding and support around the condition.

Tyler is extremely lucky that he has received so much care and support from his school, friends, and family but this is not always the case for a lot of sufferers of TS.

Rory Jones

I was diagnosed with TS when I was 11 years old and began having tics when I was aged 9.  Growing up with this neurological condition has been challenging especially at secondary school when teenagers did not understand the condition and thought it was funny to laugh at me. The reason why I would like to run the London Half Marathon is to raise awareness around the condition and to help raise money for supporting other children/adults to attend meet ups along with attending workshops and to speak up about the condition.

Callum Burgess

I’ll be running the 2022 London Landmarks Half Marathon to fundraise for this fantastic charity and to help raise awareness of this condition that effects so many. The charity has become very close to myself and my family since my sister was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in 2020.

I have the privilege of working for this amazing charity and can see how passionate my colleagues are at supporting the TS community. I also have a 19 year old son with TS who makes me proud every day.

I can’t think of a better way to help raise awareness and donations, than by lacing up my trainers and running 13.1 miles for everyone who lives with TS.
