Tourettes Action takes centre stage on Primetime TV - tune in and help make a difference.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Tourettes Action has been chosen as a featured charity for the BBC Lifeline Appeal — a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of Tourette syndrome and the work we do to support our community.

The BBC Lifeline Appeal is a long-running programme that gives charities a national platform to showcase their work, reach new audiences and encourage vital donations. Each appeal highlights a different organisation, helping to shine a light on important causes that may not always receive widespread attention.

Since April we have been working with the BBC to develop a nine-minute appeal film which features the real-life stories of three people with TS, sharing their personal experiences, challenges, and achievements, as well as how Tourettes Action has supported them. Their stories will offer an honest and moving insight into life with TS, helping to build understanding and reduce stigma.

We are delighted that the appeal will be broadcast on BBC One in primetime on 26th July, reaching a huge national audience. It will then be repeated on BBC Two a few days later, before being shown over the following three weeks on Together TV (Freeview).

The broadcast will include a well-known presenter explaining more about the charity and the services we provide, alongside the stories of our featured service users. The aim of the appeal is to raise both awareness and essential funds, helping us continue and expand our work supporting people living with Tourette syndrome and their families.

This is an exciting and proud moment for our community, and we can’t wait to share it with you. We hope you’ll tune in, help spread the word, and support us in making a real difference.
