Tom "swings & jazzes" into BBC 1 show "The Voice"

Talented Tom Carpenter from Frome, performed a swing version of Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie,"  on BBC 1's  "The Voice."

Tom took part in what is known as the blind auditions, where contestants have to perform to 4 legendary singers acting as judges, made up of: Will.I.Am, Rita Ora, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, without the judges seeing the artist. Sat in tall chairs with their backs to the performer, if they like what they see, they press their buzzer to spin their chair round to accept that artist onto their team and, if 2 judges buzz, they have to convince the performer to join their team.

Rita Ora said Tom was "A great singer and an inspiration," whilst Will.I.Am declared him as "Freakin' awesome."

"People need to know that TS is involuntary. We don't need pity, but some will always need help, support and understanding"
