Posted on 6 March 2018 by Helen Robbins

Tourettes Action are teaming up with Nancy Doyle, Occupational Psychologist who featured in BBC series 'Employable Me', to provide a forum for adults with TS, employers and all interested people to find out more about TS and employment, on Monday 12 March at 10am.

Nancy Doyle

Nancy Doyle is a Chartered Psychologist with over 15 years experience working with neurodiverse adults in the workplace.  Nancy’s work was featured on the BBC2 documentary Employable Me, which featured adults with TS, autism and other conditions in their search for career fulfilment. Nancy founded and runs a Social Enterprise, Genius Within CIC, which has supported over 6000 neurodiverse adults since 2011.  Nancy is a coach, a CEO, a career counsellor and aspiring marathoner – hoping to raise money for Tourettes Action in the London 2018 Marathon.

What will be covered in the webinar?

  • Neurodiversity as a concept – the rich diversity of human thinking, how we can harness our uniqueness and embrace our strengths rather than focusing on our difficulties
  • Legality  - How the Equality Act 2010 relates to TS
  • Practical solutions - asserting your place in the workplace and supporting colleagues with TS

This is an online interactive event, and you will be able to ask questions either via video, audio or text chat, depending on what feels comfortable.  Equally you are welcome to just tune in and watch/listen to the valuable discussion that will take place.

How do I get involved?

You can watch a recording of the webinar on our You Tube channel.
