An exciting opportunity to join a panel to help shape research, from the University of Nottingham

In many regions of England, children and young people with tics and Tourette Syndrome (TS) are unable to access healthcare services for their tics. They experience long delays before they are given a diagnosis and, even once a diagnosis is given, they may be unable to access treatment or other support. This has a huge impact on the children and young people, their families and friends, and the wider systems that need to support them, including schools.

In a new study we will explore the delivery of services for children and young people with tics and TS. We will work with experts to develop a set of recommendations for how to deliver an effective service for these children. Click here to read more about the INTEND study.

As part of the research, we want to form a Patient & Public Involvement (PPI) panel to shape the research and help us share the findings at the end. We are looking for parents/carers of children and young people with tics or TS and young people with tics/TS to take part in the panel.
