Research summary from the Institute of Leadership and Management

New research, in partnership with Tourettes Action, Infinite Autism and Autistic Nottingham, reveals a significant lack of understanding and awareness of neurodivergents in the workplace despite an estimated one in seven people being neurodivergent which is more than 15% of people in the UK.

Half of all leaders and managers reported that they would not employ someone who had one or more neurodivergent conditions with many providing statements making assumptions of incapability, the need for additional supervision and other negative and false stereotypes.

The report shows the highest level of bias exists towards those withTourette Syndrome and ADHD/ADD.
