A research project from the University of Nottingham

Researchers at the University of Nottingham are looking for participants for their latest project. The SATURN study will compare the stimulant medication usually prescribed for ADHD, with the non-stimulant medication usually prescribed for tics to identify the best treatment for children/young people with both ADHD and tics.

There is concern among clinicians that stimulants may make tics worse and therefore, they favour prescribing non-stimulant medication to children/young people with both ADHD and tics. Non-stimulant medication, however, may be less effective in treating ADHD. As a result, there is uncertainty about the most effective medication choice for children and young people who have ADHD and tics.

This is a rewarding, paid opportunity to make a real difference and support research into TS..
